Scallion Biscuits

Ingredients:

Flour 1 1/2 Cup

Baking Powder 1 1/2 Tsp.

Baking Soda 1 1/2 Tsp.

Salt 1/2 Tsp.

White Pepper 1/4 Tsp.

Ginger 1/8 Tsp.

Butter 1/4 Cup Cold & Cubed

Scallions 2 Chopped

Buttermilk 6 Tbl.

Sesame Seeds To Top

Heavy Cream To Brush

Steps:

  1. Preheat Oven 

Preheat oven to 425F and line a cookie sheet. 

  1. Measure & Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, white pepper, and ginger. 

  1. Rub in Butter

Add the cubed butter to the flour mixture, and with your hands, rub the butter in until the mixture is coarse like sand. 

  1. Add Scallions & Buttermilk 

Add the scallions and buttermilk, mix until well combined. 

  1. Divide into 4 Biscuits

Divide into 4 Biscuits, place on a cookie sheet. Brush with heavy cream and sesame seeds.

  1. Bake 

Bake for 14-16 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. & Enjoy!
